Light filtered through the silvery green leaves of an olive tree is magical. I love photographing couples in olive groves and luckily there are plenty of those here in Mallorca. The images below are very special to me – for more than one reason. Claudia is a unique natural beauty who happens to work in the grocery store below my apartment. When I first saw her I knew I had to photograph her. There was something about those big brown eyes and her shy smile that immediately tickled my inspiration. The perfect time to ask her came when I needed a couple to model for one of my mentoring sessions. I admit my introverted nature got in the way so it was actually my husband who asked her and she agreed! The moment Claudia stepped in front of my camera she left me speechless. She was so effortlessly beautiful, wearing no make up at all. She was just this graceful and charming dancer in the light. Juan was the perfect man on her side, a gentleman. Kind and easy going. And although they are both rather shy they let me see the essence of their love. I simply followed their rhythm and was able to photograph them just as they are: Young and completely in love.
